9. Creating age-friendly communities goes beyond active and positive living and health needs, public health outcomes and the persistence of health inequalities. Through the adoption of an age-friendly approach to planning and decision making in all areas of public life, we are actively creating an environment that facilitates citizens’ social engagement regardless of their age.
