2 Evening in Columbus and Morning in Taipei On a beautiful evening in Columbus, two groups of young people met for the first time! Both groups are part of the Global Language & Culture Project. The meeting place was on a large television screen divided in two and visible by all. The young Taiwanese had been studying the English language for several years. The American children have been learning Chinese for about six months. Both were eager to see and hear the other group! The Taiwanese were in school with their teacher for an early morning sharing. The Americans and their parents came back to school in the evening to greet their friends from thousands of miles away. It was an experience that will be remembered!!
