3. What do all living things on Earth have in common? One or more cells Take in energy and use it to grow/develop Reproduce Give off waste

4. What does the Earth provide to sustain all life? Liquid water, suitable temperature range, and atmosphere “Goldilocks” Condition- Earth is just right for life to exist. Are these conditions necessary for life? Or are they just necessary for life on Earth?

5. Extreme Conditions Recently, life forms have been discovered on Earth where it was believed that no life could ever exist.

6. If life does exist elsewhere in the Solar System where would it most likely be found? Which planet has conditions that are most similar to Earths? Streambeds on Mars. Life as we know it requires water. Did or does Mars have the conditions needed to support life?

9. Alien Creatures Remember that on Earth animals have features and behaviors that help them live, find food, and reproduce. It can be argued that life on other planets would follow these same rules. To understand external plant and animal features have positive benefits for an organism. To understand that plants and animals are adapted to the environment they live in. To understand the different environmental conditions that are present on other worlds. To create an imaginary creature that fits into a described alien environment.

10. Alien Creatures Now it is your turn to create diverse creatures from unknown worlds. Use what you know about different planets and moons to create a creature.
