6  A cultural norm is how different cultures, each with their own beliefs, values, traditions, and habits, live their daily life.  Cultural norms effect local construction needs.  Example: People in New York City typically live in high rise apartments, while people in Clarksville typically live in single-family homes.  Example: Places of worship look different in the US than they do in India or Iraq.
