The purpose of the slide pack is to provide YOTs with the framework for discussions with key partners at a local level about their contributions to ensuring that the 18 YRO Requirements contained in the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act are workable. The slide pack contains content for a variety of audiences who will have a role in delivering the 18 requirements. You will need to remove those slides which are irrelevant dependent upon the audience for the presentation. The Youth Rehabilitation Order ●Designed to combine existing community sentences into one generic sentence – the YRO ●Will enable sentencers to tailor sentences to individual risk and needs ●Provides menu of interventions to tackle offending behaviour that can be returned to on multiple occasions adapting the menu to minimise the use of custody ●Length dependent upon what requirements are imposed but cannot be longer than three years
