2  Independent newspapers and magazines  Provide employment for people experiencing poverty and homelessness  Vendors buy copies at half of the cover price, then sell on, keeping the proceeds  Many offer vendors ongoing social support and training opportunities  Most advocate for the needs and the rights of people living in poverty

4  Supports over 100 street papers in 40 countries worldwide  Supports new projects in the developing world  Builds the capacity & sustainability of street papers by providing advice & training  Allows street papers to share resources, experience and mentoring  Runs its own news agency as an editorial resource for street papers
