2. Storms A storm is a violent disturbance in the atmosphere.

3. Thunderstorms A lightning bolt will heat up to about 30,000 C. The heated air expands to an explosion creating thunder.

4. Lightning Lightning occurs when electricity hops from cloud to cloud or cloud to ground.

5. Tornadoes They mostly occur during a thunderstorms. They’re whirling, funnel-shaped cloud that touches the ground.

6. Hurricanes It starts as a tropical storm then grows in size and strength spiraling inward to low pressure areas. The eye of a storm is calm where the sun can show through.

7. Winter storms Air from Canada goes southeast over the Great Lakes then dropping temp. causing lake-effect snow. Keep your self warm and cover exposed body parts.
