Status of the « For a NPSS Member Roster » Project by Erik Heijne, J L Leray and Patrick Le Dû This might be a general need of NPSS… –NPSS used to print a YearBook Directory it until ~mid 2000 –Personal Archives still contains YearBook circa 1973 …and a special need of Transnational (R8-R9-R10) Membership –One mission of IEEE is « Networking the World » –It begins in Regions, Sections, and concerns NPSS because of technical interests of Members by Erik Heijne, J L Leray and Patrick Le Dû

9 9 TRANSNATIONAL COMMITTEE Knoxville AdCOM Meeting Nov. 6, 2010 3. Message from Pr. Zhen-An Liu, Beijing Dear Jean-Luc, and all other friends, I can not join the meeting this time. But I can join the suggested phone meeting. I have been recently re-elected as a committee member of the Nuclear Electronics and Nuclear Detection Society (NEDS, a Chinese national Society under China Electronics Institute). I have proposed an formal collaboration between our two Societies and I got positive response, also we will have a discussion recently. I have arranged in May 2008 in Beijing a meeting of CANPS delegates (Jean-Pierre Martin, Patrick Le Du and Macheline Martine) with the EX-chairman of NEDS, Dr. Weiguo Li, during the preparation of RT09, and the RT09 was successfully organized with strong support from NEDS. Do you have any idea or suggestion for me, how we can go further collaboration between NPSS and NEDS ? I appreciate any suggestion from any of you. The Chinese Institute of Electronics was founded during the inaugural meeting in 1956 and became an independent academic body in 1962. Since the beginning of 1980's, CIE has established relationship with the famous international electrical and electronic societies.
