2. The Church of Jesus Christ Transfiguration in Jejkov The church after 1930

3. The foundation of the church is connected with the foundation of the Capuchin monastery initiated by Francis Augustine of Wallenstein. The church was completed in 1693 and consecrated by John Joseph Brauner. Today´s dedication has been known since the middle of the 18th century. Jejkov Parish was established and a Parish House was built 100 years later. Around 1930

5. The church has a simple design. It has only one aisle and two chapels. The aisle faces South. There is a simple valut with lunettes in the church interior. On the front wall of the church there is a large crucifix and the picture: „St. Frank renounces the world“ by John Daňek from Letovice. Church before 1906Church in 2010

6. The church tower is unusual for a capucin church. This one was built in 1884. The tower was paid by vicar P. Albrecht Chlumovsky. Like many other churches, this church lost bells during the Second World War. The bells were returned to the church on 5th January in 1997 and were dedicated to Saint Maria, Saint Frantisek, The Magi and Saint Vaclav.

7. The Painting “The Transfiguration of Jesus Christ on Mount of Tábor” from Josef Cereghotti decorates the main altar. The patrons of the other altars are Saint František, Saint Antonín and Saint Jan Nepomucký. The Nave After 1920 The Nave in 2009
