Passengers now up 45% to 28 million per year, with more growth forecast – in excess of 30 million passengers by 2015
Capacity enhancement is crucial to support additional tram passengers and the future growth of Merton and its connections to Croydon

Double-track Mitcham-Mitcham Junction to improve reliability and resilience
This will allow for a future extension to Mitcham Town Centre or Morden
Potential for new stop at Willow Lane to improve access to the Wandle Valley Regional Park and Willow Lane Trading Estate

Sub-regional transport strategy looks at potential for future Tramlink extensions, including:
Morden – link to Northern line
Mitcham Town Centre – will support local regeneration

Purley/Coulsdon
Crystal Palace
