7 1 Cyclo gearbox - 1/3 How does it work? The gearbox working principle is the same as for the C720, i.e. the eccentric shaft rotates, it rolls the impellers around the internal circumference of the slow speed gear. Since the impellers are fixed, this imposes a movement of the slow speed gear. The Cyclo gearbox allows to reach a mechanical efficiency that is up to two times higher than traditional gearboxes and substantial reduction of power dissipation, also higher thrust force and speed (up to 18m/min 50% more if compared with the competitors) can be achieved with a lower electrical power consumption. 8 1 Cyclo gearbox - 2/3 Which are the advantages?  High mechanical efficiency: >80% (+ 50% compared to the traditional gearboxes )  Robustness and reliability: the load is distributed to many contact points  Vibration and noise reduction: the impellers are 180°out of phase, making the gearbox perfectly symmetrical and equilibrated  Dimension reduction: the whole gearbox is contained in the slow speed gear, which is directly connected to the gate rack

9 1 Cyclo gearbox - 3/3 Main features of the new FAAC Cyclo gearbox for the C721 operator:  1/49 reduction  Requires half of the power with respect to the other products on the market  NEW cast iron niploy treated pinion:  Very high mechanical resistance (impact, stiffness, traction)  Inner gear made of DELRIN 100ST to guarantee the correct coupling with the same material made internal reduction  DELRIN 100ST is an acetal resin which is very resistant to atmospheric agents (UV, humidity, etc.) and temperature changes, very high reliability as it’s used since more than 40 years in automotive, chemical and electrical industries. Cast iron niploy treated pinion DELRIN 100ST inner gear The combination of this new cast iron pinion with the more powerful electric motor allows to operate gates up to 800Kg
