5. Inca Living Area The Incas were living in the Andes in Peru, in the capital city of Cusco. The leader was named Sapa Inca, which meant “Unique Inca.”

6. Inca Life The Incas were like medieval Europe. They had a high ruler as the highest position, nobles below, and craftsmen and farmers at the bottom.

7. Inca Leaders They were conquered by the Spanish conquistador, Francisco Pizzarro, in 1533, after he kidnapped Atahualpa, their current leader. Atahualpa They had many leaders, all with the title of Sapa Inca.
