3 Discussion In what way is math related to the arts you created at the stations? How is math connected to the arts in general? Does math define our aesthetics, or our ideas of beauty? Explain. What ways of knowing did you employ at the stations you visited? Explain. While you were creating, you were listening to jazz music. How is math related to music? To improvisation? “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” (Albert Einstein) How might you answer the TOK one-pager prompt? Is imagination relevant in math? In the arts? Is imagination truly a “way of knowing”?
