3 Goals for Session Explore enabling structures, conditions and processes for aligning resources with priorities Further develop facilitation skills by engaging in courageous conversations focused on aligning resources with priorities using conversation starters

4 All ideas will be listened to carefully and responded to respectfully Everyone will have a voice All questions and comments will be presented with the intent to move the collective forward Clarifying questions are welcome Everyone will engage fully in the moment Group Norms

6 Aligning Resources with Priorities Minds On

7 Open Technology Individually: –Think of ways you currently align resources with priorities –Record one strategy / approach / consideration per sticky note

8 Open Technology Whole Group: –Organize the strategies / approaches / considerations under ‘common themes’ (e.g. budget, human resources, etc.)

9 Aligning Resources with Priorities Action: Discussion Groups

10 Open Technology Small Groups: –Using sticker dots, select two ‘themes’ you would like to discuss further. –A recorder and facilitator will be assigned to each group. –Facilitators are encouraged to use the conversation starters (BLM L.2B.3) and coaching question stems for the dialogue.

11 Open Technology Small Groups: –Two 20 minute rotations: Themed-Discussion Groups –Key Questions: In what ways do you currently align resources with priorities? In what ways could resources be aligned with priorities more effectively?

13 Open Technology Which conversation starters did you use? Why were these effective [or not] during your dialogue? Which conversation starters would you use during your SIP / BIP process? How does a focus on aligning resources with priorities support the other 4 core leadership capacities? What enabling structures, conditions and processes are required to effectively align resources with priorities?
