OPIC is a virtual network of specialized technology transfer experts located at seven member institutions, enhancing knowledge and technology transfer capacity by sharing expertise, educational resources, and partnering with clients both within our institutions and in our surrounding communities.

3. What will OPIC do? Build the capacity of the technology transfer office at each member institution through: –The addition of new tech transfer personnel –Additional training for tech transfer personnel –The sharing physical and electronic resources

4. What will OPIC do? Build on the existing network of shared specialized expertise in: –Legal matters –Banking –Business development –Biomedical tech transfer –International marketing –Photonics –Tech evaluation

5. What will OPIC do? Link with other commercialization consortia to enhance available expertise to OPIC and collaborate on initiatives of mutual benefit

6. What is OPIC’s goal Accelerate the transfer of technology and ideas to receptors in industry and the non- profit sectors by: –Providing a seed fund to nurture early stage technologies –Hosting networking events with industry, faculty and students

7. What is OPIC’s goal Foster a culture of entrepreneurship by: –Providing educational sessions for faculty and students –Holding annual business plan competitions for affiliated faculty, students and community members

8. What is OPIC’s goal Contribute to local economic development in the communities of member institutions by collaborating with: –Regional Innovation Networks –Local Economic Development Agencies
