3 Using a Microscope Procedures: 1. Turn the light on. 2. Put the slide on the stage. 3. Center the slide on the stage. 4. Locate the specimen using the coarse knob. 5. Use the fine knob for sharp focus. 6. Turn the lens to a higher power. 7. Adjust the light using the diaphragm.
