Semiotic approach: Translation is language code switching. When translating, we switch from one language to another. Three possibilities of code switching: intralinguistic or rewording; interlanguage translation; intersemiotic translation (R.Jakobson. On Linguistic Aspects of Translation // Proshina, P.13).
