 Mice, Birds, and Rats  Used in 80-95% of experiments

 Animal Welfare Act requires the animals to be reported but these three species are not included  Estimated in the millions

 Household products and drugs straight into innocent animals  Pumped into stomachs  Rubbed on skin  Squirt in eyes  Inhaled

 Goats have legs broken with bolt cutters or legs cut off with shears  Live monkeys are poisoned with chemicals

 Live pigs shot, stabbed, and burned  This is inhumane!

 Over half the drugs that have been tested and approved have ended up being withdrawn because of harmful side effects on humans.

 Pregnant mare urine is used in the menopausal drug called Premarin.  They are stored in small stalls during the pregnancy so their urine can be collected.

 The stalls are just 8 feet long and  3 ½ feet wide  Only 5 feet high

 Mares are kept tied up inside six months out of the year.  The mares eventually give birth and the babies are killed

 The mares produce milk while pregnant.  Their milk is taken and given to higher up babies in need.

 Shortly after birth the baby is taken  The babies are either starved, killed, or sent straight to the slaughter house.  Sometimes in a lucky case, they are adopted

 The mares are bred back again as soon as they are ready.  Mares that do not become pregnant within a short time are sent straight to the slaughter house

 Each species has different physiology!  Artificially induced diseases in animals are never identical to those in humans!  Most experiments are done on rats or mice and these animals are NOTHING like humans!  Animals are totally different from humans!

 It is only acceptable to test humans with their consent. Animals are not able to give their consent!  New methods such as computer models, cell cultures, and human studies are much more reliable, safe, and humane!  STOP ANIMAL EXPERIMENTATION!!!!!!

 My Chihuahua, Bubba  <<<<<<<<<  My nephew’s pony, Cole  <<<<<<<<<
