2. 2012/02/08 22 Purpose and Scope Purpose –Due to Primax will implement WMS system (warehouse management system) and shop floor control system to manage incoming materials, suppliers shall apply barcode label on shipping goods. Scope –Every supplier who delivers goods to Primax warehouse shall follow this requirement. Implementation Date ： –Phase I—Jan 1 st, 2012 (Primax MI/Q/IDD factory) –Phase II—Apr 1st, 2012 (Primax all factories) Label Type –Package barcode label –*SMD Reel barcode label (Most of SMD Reel could use Small package label on box or carton, but for some SMD component may need stick on each reel directly.) –List barcode label

4. 2012/02/08 44 Package Definition Small Package  It is the basic unit for barcode label sticking. Small package is defined as container which contains material, such as carton, container, plastic bag, bottle, can, SMD reel… etc. The rule is : one small package must contain the same part number and lot no. Medium Package  It contains 2 or more small packages. Large Package  It contains 2 or more medium packages or mix of medium and small packages.

8. 2012/02/08 8 Package Label Content Integrate current Primax shipment label and green label requirement. HF *When supplier implement new barcode label on shipment carton, there is no need to stick shipment label and green label as shown on right figure.

9. 2012/02/08 9 List Barcode Label Type If 2 or more different part number or lots packed into carton, the carton need stick List label (hereinafter referred to as L-label). Size ： ≥ 90*70 mm (we only defined minimum size. Supplier can choose to use larger size if required.) Barcode Coding ： Code 128 min70mm min 90mm *PRIMAX PART NO. and GP marking is used only for carton which have the same Part No but different lot. If carton contain multiple Part No., Please don’t fill up Primax Part No. and GP marking.

10. 2012/02/08 10 BOX ID Coding Rule BOX ID (Total 16 digits) PO No.(10) Item(3) Serial No.(3) –PO No. and PO Item refer to next page. –If PO Item shows less than 3 digits, please make it up to 3 digits. Ex. Item 5  005, 20  020 –Serial No. 3 digits (Choose one of the following 2 types) Type 1 ： decimal, up to 999 boxes (starting from 001) Type 2 ： base 36 ， 0~9 A~Z (starting from 001 to YZZ, do NOT use Serial No. bigger than YZZ.) –BOXID must be unique for every carton. 11. 2012/02/08 11 BOX ID Coding Rule You can get PO and Item number from Primax e-Supply system “Purchase Information” or “Delivery Control Report”

12. 2012/02/08 12 BOX ID Coding Rule Supplier may ship different PO items in one shipment. As long as part number and lot number are the same, you may put them into one carton. In such case, you could choose one PO number and Item No. from those multiple PO lines as BOXID and just use one P-label instead of many P-labels. (Suggest to choose PO number which is smaller), for example: –Parts A got 3 POs from Primax, you plan to ship it out today, and all the goods come from the same production lot. –PO/item  290020451/20 、 290020350/10 、 290020851/50 –If the size is small, you can pack it into the same box and stick one P-label instead of 3 P-labels. –And the BOXID goes to “ 290020350010001 ”.

13. 2012/02/08 13 BOX ID Coding Rule BOX ID example-1: –PO: 2900012345 ； Item No: 1 –PO q ’ ty: 1000 pcs; Each box contains 100pcs –SN rule : base 36 –Lot No. 110716 have 850 pcs ; and Lot No. 110723 have 150 pcs –The BOXID goes to ： Lot 110716—2900012345001001~2900012345001009 (The 9th box contain 50 pcs, and the others contain 100 pcs) Lot 110723—290001234500100A~290001234500100B(The 1st box contain 100 pcs and the 2 nd box contain 50pcs) (There are 11 boxes for shipping.)

14. 2012/02/08 14 BOX ID Coding Rule BOX ID example-2: –One supplier receive 2 PO which are 2900012346 and 2900012347. The detail as below, PO No. Item No. Part No. Q’ty 2900012346 1 610000000001 1000 2900012346 2 610000000001 500 2900012347 1 610000000001 500 –Each box contains 100pcs, take decimal as SN rule. –2 PO No. and 3 items will be shipped at the same day. –Due to these 2 PO and 3 item are the same Part No. It can be use the same numbering but different SN. –Total 2000 pcs, pack into 20 boxes, The BOX ID goes to 2900012346001001~020

15. 2012/02/08 15 LOT Number Rule Basically, lot number follows supplier’s internal lot numbering rule, but –Lot numbering must meet ISO9000 and industrial traceability requirement. –Example of lot number naming rule: Datecode, YYMMDD, YYWW, Plant code +Product code +YYMMDD…etc. –Lot number must meet FIFO requirement. –Lot number must be less than or equal to 16 digits.

19. 2012/02/08 19 ADD’L INFO. Additional information is for suppliers to maintain extra information on bar code label, the information may be requested by Primax plant’s special requirement. (As currently suppliers do on shipment label) Below requirements may need to be maintained in ADD’L INFO segment (depends on individual Primax plant’s request) ： –Supplier Work Order No. –Primax P/O No. –Shift- Machine –Cavity- Inspector –Inspection Result- Box No.… If supplier wants to keep some information for your internal process, you can put the information in the bottom of the bar code label. (the more information, the larger label size is needed to make information clear.)

20. 2012/02/08 20 Label Printing Note Text –Text font is not limited. Please use capital text of English. –If BOXID adopted by base 36, text font under the barcode must be easily identified “01OI”, Please use uppercase font, for example: Windows Consolas font  01OI Printing Method: –Please use thermal transfer instead of direct thermal. Direct thermal print will get fuzzy as time goes by.

26. 2012/02/08 26 Primax Stick Label for Supplier If supplier does not stick label on shipping box, Primax will help to make and stick the label. However, the expense will be charged to supplier. (deduct payment) Expense per label : CNY$ 10 / label –For instance, one supplier who shipped without sticking label, total 30 boxes in a shipment, Primax will make and stick 30 labels. The expense goes to 30*10=CNY$300.

27. 2012/02/08 Unlabeled Queries Suppliers could query the number of boxes without barcode label from Primax e-Supply system.

28. 2012/02/08 28 Notice Please implement barcode label to your shipments which will be delivered to Primax plants. For oversea suppliers, please mail barcode label sample and lot number naming rule to Primax SQE or Sourcing for confirmation by 2012/3/15. (we need the physical bar code label to test if the information can be read by scanner and if all information format follows our request) From 2012/4/1, if there is any shipment without barcode label, Primax will make and stick the barcode label. The expense will be charged to supplier monthly.
