10 Writing task: The Situation oTwo bodies have been found at Dunsinane castle, home to Lord and Lady Macbeth. oOne white male, the other white female. oThe male body was found in the grounds of the castle with a fatal sword wound. oThe female body was found within the castle, cause of death unknown. 12 Following further enquiries… oThe male body has been identified as that of Macbeth. oA bloody sword was found next to him, forensics have proven that it is not Macbeth’s blood. oMacbeth was known to have many enemies. oMost renowned was Macduff, Thane of Fife and friend to Malcolm - son of old King Duncan For Your Information

13 News just in… o The female body has been identified as Lady Macbeth. It is still unclear as to how she died. o Macduff and Macbeth were indeed bitter rivals and it is rumoured that Macbeth was responsible for the murders of his entire family o Also, Dunsinane Castle was the site of another death earlier this month. Apparently Old King Duncan was murdered here! Guards were blamed for his death but no culprit was found. Further Information

15 After questioning of servants in the castle… oLady Macbeth had been behaving very strangely in the weeks leading up to her death. oShe was sleepwalking and talking of blood. Also she was constantly washing her hands. oHer death is not being treated as suspicious but a cause is yet to be found. Further Information

16 Final findings… oMacbeth was also seen to be behaving oddly before he died. oFriends talk of him having visions of ghosts. oHe was also seen talking on more than one occasion with three strange looking old women.
