Please look at your sample Intake Form along with TOP THREE NEEDS SHEET these are very important parts of your job for the day of your event. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions…. Intakes- Completed for Statistical information To help establish TOP THREE NEEDS for the Event Getting Started with completing Intakes

Keys to Connection Too much information? How do you know if you are doing your Intakes successfully and helping get the participants what they need? Listen! Focus on CAUSES of Homelessness or ALMOST Homelessness

Let’s play Connect the Dots. Now that the Intake Workers having completed the grueling process of paperwork, the Guides are up. It’s about Team work and the participants for the event will make that happen easily. Connect the Dots

Guide….. Lead For Others to CHANGE…..The Leader needs to CHANGE 2

Never underestimate your ability to make someone else’s life better EVEN IF YOU NEVER KNOW IT

Remember that the INTAKE Volunteers listened to their stories and were able to narrow down their NEEDS Based on what was MOST IMPORTANT for them TODAY if there is time, them MAY be able to go to a few other areas that are on their list to gather support and services May seem difficult to steer participants to only their TOP THREE CHOICES 1 st …. However this is in their best interest This allows for them to make it through to their main priorities Top Three Choices

Make each Participant’s Experience PERSONAL that is what Project CONNECT is ALL about Staying on track.

Connect….. Solutions Let’s Give Help for Solutions….Not Just another Connection to another Service 3

Provide….. Hope Hope, Encouragement, Personal Engagement…..Making a Difference 4
