2 CELL THEORY Cell theory refers to the idea that cells are the basic unit of structure in every living thing. There are 3 basic laws behind cell theory 1. All living things are composed of cells. 2. Cells are the basic unit of structure and function in living things. 3. Cells arise from pre-existing cells

4 EUKARYOTE vs. PROKARYOTE A Eukaryotic cell is a cell containing a nucleus. Eukaryotic cells form organisms which are multicellular A Prokaryotic cells are cells which have no distinct nucleus. Often prokaryotic cells form single celled organisms (many bacteria) however there are some prokaryotes that are multi-cellular
