2 » Key figures- Alex Jacobs,Kirk Benton,Deanna wells, Lou Dempsey,Eric Howe » Key facts-Deanna was kirks girlfriend, Alex rarely drank, Deanna used to drink and did not want to go to the party. Lou a gas station owner always sold alcohol to miners, Deanna is Alex's girlfriend now. Alex decided to go to the party to show off but he got drunk and stared fighting with Kirk then pulled out his knife and stabbed Kirk and put him in the hospital.

3 » Eric usually bought the alcohol for the party's, Kirk got in to a lot of fights, Kirk drank a lot, another person has been hurt at one of these keg party's before, Kirks father did not approve of Kirk going to the keg party's and was unaware of how much Kirk drinks.

4 » Subdivision 1: Consumption 1) It is illegal for anyone who has a license to sell liquor to let anyone who is under 21 years drink alcohol on his or her property. 2) It is illegal for anyone under 21 to drink alcohol. The only exception is if someone under 21 drinks alcohol at home or his or her parents or guardians with their permission.

5 » Subdivision 2: Purchasing and providing 1) It is illegal to sell, give or provide alcohol to anyone under the age of 21. 2) It is illegal for anyone under the age of 221 to buy or attempt to buy alcohol. 3) It is illegal to ask a person under the age of 21 to buy or provide alcohol. It is illegal to allow someone under the age of 21 to use a drivers license or identification card that is not his or her own in order to buy or attempt to buy alcohol.

6 » Subdivision 1: Cause of Action If somebody suffers an injury by an intoxicated person in any of the following ways: » Bodily harm » Property damages » Financial loss » Ability to work » The person who suffered the injury can sue the person who caused the intoxication based on an illegal sale or provision of alcohol.

7 » Alcohol is the worlds most commonly used drug » All the chances in behavior are a result of alcohols action on the brain » Alcohol is much more likely than any other drug to be involved in substance related violence » It is estimated that alcohol is one of the causes of 20- 30 percent of violent crimes and 3-4 percent of property crimes in one year

8 » Several studies have shown that there is a strong connection between under age drinking and violence » More businesses are starting to be more carful to who they sell alcohol to under aged people » One method is RBS or Responsible Beverage Service training » This training shows the sellers what to look for and how to avoid selling to under aged people
