2 Grammar Review Blitz! Nouns - person, place, thing, idea Common v. Proper Pronouns - rename nouns (he, she, they, we, us, it, I, etc…) Adjectives - describe nouns; answers the following questions Which one? What kind? How many? Verbs - represents actions or states of being

8 Last Class … Objectives: Research and report on a topic related to To Kill a Mockingbird. Requirements: Take notes on your topic(s). Write these notes on the next RIGHT side in your notebook For each source, Include the title of the article (and a note about URL) If URL is long, copy the URL onto a google document Minimum of two reliable sources (not including picture sources). When you search, specify 1930s. Best sources will have these endings – start there: edu, net, gov, or org Find 2-4 relevant pictures: Save pictures and URL of sources on a Word document/Google doc Title document: “Period________ Topic__________” Due in class or finish for homework – 1 stamp

Be sure your sharing with the ability to “edit” when emailing me your slides. Due at the end of class TODAY

10 Today! Objective: Evaluate and consolidate information; then create a professional slide to present. Requirements: Review notes, then highlight the most relevant, important information. Decided which information you would like to present to the class. Create slides to present your topic 3-5 bullet points per slide; 2-4 pictures per slide; no more than 3 slides; put your Last Name, First Initial and Period at the bollom of each slide Share them on Google Drive with me, starke@litsdschools.orgstarke@litsdschools.org

13 How much should I include in my slides? Enough to convey a general idea of what was important about your topic during this time period. Your notes in your response notebook will have much more information than your slides.
