1. Level 3 BTEC Certificate in Business Summer 2015 Task  Choose 2 organisations that you have links with or are interested in e.g. Morrisons, Virgin, Holiday Cottages  Produce a 2 – 3 minute presentation about your chosen organisations that you will need to make in September

2. What to include…  Explain the ‘purpose’ of each business e.g. what products do they produce or what services do they provide  Explain whether each organisation aims to make a profit or not and if so try and find some information about the profit they have made recently (over the past few years)  What area do they cover e.g. are they a local, regional, national, international or global organisation  Explain whether they are in the primary, secondary or tertiary sector  Explain whether they are in the private or public sector  Explain what type of ownership they have e.g. sole trader, partnership, LTD, PLC, franchise

3. Presentation Style  Ensure your presentation is presented in professional manner  Use images or statistics to enhance your presentation  Do not put too much text on each of your slides (produce a one page handout with all the detail on)  Your presentation will be graded out of 10 marks  The quality of work produced will be the basis of your first assessment marks and attitude to learning grade
