The American Revolution Tamara Dendall 5 th grade Room 28

It All Started Here “The British are coming!” This is one of Paul Revere’s most famous quotes from the American Revolution. Paul Revere and Ben Franklin were highly important to the American Revolution and so was the Treaty of Paris. These three important people and document are amazing to have changed our lives.

Paul Revere Paul Revere was one person, who will always be remembered as a revolutionary hero. Revere was always on-the-go, his neighbors saw his back more often than his front, because he was so busy. Suddenly, there were protests against taxes, so Paul and other man dumped Tasteful tea in to Boston Harbor. Being the fastest ride in town Paul got chosen to spy on the British were coming to attack Paul was chosen to warn the colonists about the British attacking, this is now know as his “famous ride.” After the war was over Paul opened a foundry shop, and made over 398 lovely sounding bells. So this is why he was one of the biggest heroes for American.

Benjamin Franklin I would like to discuss an important person of the American Revolution, Benjamin Franklin. Ben Franklin was born in Boston, which is in Massachusetts on Jan. 17,1706. He didn’t go to school, because his father took him out, so Benjamin taught himself all subjects like reading, writing, math, science and so much more. When he got older he married Deborah Reed and they had three children. Mostly, Ben Franklin invented many useful things like the lighting rod, the bifocal glasses and the Franklin stove. Making his life complete, he signed the Declaration of Independence. So, that is mostly why he is remembered as a hero.

Treaty of Paris The Treaty of Paris ended the American Revolution and amazingly made the US an independent nation. On March 1782, Ben Franklin turned down a settlement from the British, because Britain wouldn’t recognize America as its own country. John Adams, John Jay, and Ben Franklin all worked hard with the British government to make a fair treaty for America. Then on November 30, 1782 the treaty was signed in Paris, but it wasn’t the end of the war, since Britain was working with France’s peace. After a long wait with several signings, on Sept. 3,1783 was the final signing that ended the American Revolution. The Treaty of Paris is an important piece for America’s independent history.

The Conclusion Now you can see why Paul Revere, and Ben Franklin were important to the war. Although, the Treaty of Paris is the most important of all. I say this, because it ended the American Revolution.
