2. Biome Description: The deciduous Forests biome is located in the eastern half of north America and in the middle of Europe. There are also deciduous forest located in new Zealand and southeastern Australia. The average temperature in these forest is about 50 degrees, they can get about 30 to 60 inches of rainfall each year. The deciduous forest like Michigan has four seasons and it can be a beautiful picture while changing seasons. Did you know that deciduous means to fall of, shed, seasonally. Deciduous trees shed their leaves during the process of fall. As the leaves decompose, the nutrients contained in the leaves are absorbed by the soil to make the soil more fertile

5. North American forests have five times as many species of trees as in Europe. The deciduous forest have all four seasons that the animals and plants seem to have made special adaptations to. The oldest looking tree in these forest are the sassafras trees that have 3 different types of leaves. Also the oil from its roots are used in tea and perfume.

6. Wow, I have learned a lot about the deciduous forest. At first I thought it was like a clone of the tropical rainforest but it is not it is better. These forest have many animals,trees,& plants. It has a tree with three different types of leaves displayed on it. I believe that there are only about four forests that have four seasons and this is one. Also I think I found Sandy’s cousin and road runners brother.
