Our habitat is the forest. Coniferous forest regions have cold, long, snowy winters, and warm, humid summers with colorful seasons. The average yearly precipitation is 12 to 33 inches. The temperature for the coniferous forest each year falls below -32°F. In the summer, the temperature can reach as high as 104◦ F. Fall is the shortest season and spring brings flowers and animals that wake up from hibernation.

Forests are found in a lot of places including Avon Lake, Canada, Europe, Asia, and the United States.

The plants that live in a forest are maple trees, pine trees, and lots of trees. The eastern redbud tree grows 20 to 30 feet tall. It has red twigs.

The animals that live in a forest are owls, squirrels, raccoons, deer, red foxes, coyotes, and bald eagles.

One animal to plant interaction is the squirrel helps nature by taking the acorn and planting it in the ground to grow into a new oak tree. The plant helps the squirrel by giving the squirrel nutrients when it eats the acorn.

Interesting facts we learned are that people are cutting down trees and animals are losing their home. Trees gives oxygen to people so they can live.
