Mobile Computing ●Mobile Computing is the idea of a transportable computer that is normally used. ●Uses mobile software and networks with communication properties ●Uses internet, or the intranet, with communication links to achieve computer mobility ●Currently consists of three devices ○ laptop ○ smartphone ○ tablet ● 21st Century improvements consists of… o easier access to information o more global communication and interaction o permits social networking simplicity ● Future is bringing three devices together as one ● Only have one location for all computing needs, whether mobile or not mobile. ● Already showing signs with Phablet (Tablet and Phone combined)

3. Uber ● A practical Taxi Service APP, main focus toward convenient transportation need ● APP is relevant to areas around ASU for persons out late at night ● Target audience is anybody requiring immediate Taxi service ● Stand out design is the map location without address ● Stand out contents are split pay between riders and pay by phone ● Taxi service app is not innovative, although easy to find the location, choose a vehicle, and pay by phone. ● One characteristic to alter is freeze screens ● The Uber APP is a free download with payment depending on vehicle and location

CellAtlas ● An informative APP main focus toward cell identification for reference need ● CellAtlas is relevant towards career area of Laboratory ● Target audience are Students and Laboratory employees ● Stand Out Design is cell images ● Stand Out content is the one minute cell identification quiz ● Highly innovative, putting cell references in palm of hand ● APP is very easy to navigate ● One characteristic to alter is Cell image quality ● APP is Free

5. Review I would give the CellAtlas app a 4.5 out of 5, the only issue I have with the CellAtlas is that some of the pictures don’t look as close to the reference image as it should in the quiz portion. I have found this Smartphone APP to be very helpful when studying for my Hematology laboratory exam and will definitely continue using it to study for my ASCP certification exam. It is easy to navigate and taking the quizzes allows me to test my knowledge so that I can achieve quality and speed in my future career as a Medical Technologist. Study books and reference books do not offer a quiz option, so I would have to make my own quiz. Having a phone application that allows me to quiz myself helps me to easily access knowledge and allows for a wider range of images that can be applied.
