1 7/4/11 Harold McMillan Fly Fishing Group Suggested Itinerary · Option 2 Longdrift 2011 - All rights reserved

2 7/4/11 Saturday 28th January to Tuesday 7th February Daily Itinerary Option 2 · Tecka Lodge & Río Pico area

3 7/4/11 Estancia Tecka offers 900,000 square miles of private ranch land and virgin waters for those who long for pristine wilderness and spectacular vistas as well as luxurious accommodations and gourmet meals. The owners of the estancia operate two fishing lodges - Tecka and Caridad. Both lodges benefit from the incredible natural beauty of the surrounding landscape which boasts two world-class trout waters passing through it and a wealth of wildlife. All guests enjoy exclusive access to the trout-rich Corcovado river that runs for more than 45 miles through this estancia in addition to the equally-productive Tecka Spring Creek. The lodges are located approximately two hours south of the Esquel airport and offer one of the best ways to experience life on an authentic Patagonian estancia. 4 7/4/11 Location The estancia is in the Chubut Province of Patagonia. Caridad Lodge sits on the banks of the Corcovado River and the Tecka Lodge is located on the Tecka river. Anglers fly into Buenos Aires International airport and transfer to the domestic airport to travel to Esquel (three flights per week) or Bariloche (daily flights). The transfer from the airport to the estancia takes two hours from Esquel or about five hours from Bariloche. The Fishing The Corcovado and the Tecka rivers both meander through the ranch. With fishing limited to a maximum of 16 anglers and spread over 400,000 acres, you'll often feel as if you're the only one fishing that day. The Rio Corcovado offers great fishing for rainbows, browns and brookies. Drift boats are used to help find the best fishing spots but wading can be enjoyed as well. The Tecka Spring Creek is fished from the banks or waded, making it a good option to combine with floating the Corcovado. This small creek is great for small tackle, such as two or three weight rods and small nymphs or dries. One can expect to see many brook trout of all sizes and very large brown trout. A full breakfast is followed by a morning session on the water. Lunch can be taken on the riverbank but is often back at the lodge. 6 7/4/11 The Río Pico area offers anglers a unique and memorable fishing experience. There is nowhere else in the world you can you fish for trophy brown trout in pristine wilderness, untouched and unseen since the days of early pioneer anglers. With private access to exclusive water as well as public water, the fishing in Rio Pico offers you a wide variety of options: great rivers for wading and drifting, lake fishing for monster trout, and back channels that really test your dry fly skills for catching the brown trout of a lifetime. Anglers will fish several rivers that include the Rio Pico, Rio Pampa, Rio Tromenco and Lakes 1, 2, 3 and 4. The accommodations are comfortable, with private rooms and baths for each angler, and perfectly situated with less than a one-hour drive to access all of the best fishing spots. 7 7/4/11 Facilities & Services Hosteria Los Lupinos is a comfortable 20 bedroom hotel, offering each angler a private bedroom with bath. Classic Argentine meals are served in the dining area, using fresh and local ingredients accompanied by fine Argentine wine. Streamside four-course gourmet meals. Daily maid service. First class Professional Argentine guides. The Fishing This is the classic southern Patagonian fishing an angler dreams of: casting large dries in small water to huge trout! The Patagonian Andean Forest and steppes to the west have enhanced water conditions here to produce wild trout of world-class quality. Wade the beautiful waters of Rio Pico, Rio Pampas and Tromenco with a six-weight in hand. Raft through Lagos 2 and 3 for extremely large rainbow and brown trout using streamers and dries, including large terrestrials.

8 7/4/11 Daily Itinerary Arrive in Buenos Aires & Transfer to Patagonia Flight to be confirmed The Longdrift team will facilitate your arrival in Argentina while your bags are loaded onto a personal shuttle bus for the one-hour group transfer to the domestic airport. Following the flight to Esquel, you will be met at the airport and driven to Tecka Lodge. After this two-hour drive, you’ll settle in and relax, or even get out on the water, fishing until dark before returning to the lodge for drinks, dinner and a good night’s sleep. Estancia Tecka is one of South America’s largest working ranches with a trout stream flowing right through it. Anglers who enjoy wilderness and finery will enjoy exclusive access to 45 miles of the trout-rich Corcovado River and the unassuming but incredibly productive Tecka Spring Creek. Tecka’s English-speaking Argentine guides are intimately familiar with the Corcovado’s isolated deep pools full of beautiful rainbows, providing anglers with numerous opportunities to catch large browns and brookies. The classic Tecka Spring Creek is ideal for sight casting as many rainbows, browns and brookies are found in its low gradient and slow-moving, gin-clear water.
