2 String family String instruments are musical instruments that produce sound from vibrating strings. In most strings instruments, the vibrations are transmitted to the body of the instrument, which also vibrates, along with the air inside it. Some common instruments in the string family are violin, guitar, sitar,, viola, cello, harp, double bass.

3 Percussion family Percussion instruments are designed to make unique sounds when you hit them with your hand or a stick. For example

4 Woodwinds family Woodwind instruments are a family of musical instruments within the more general category of wind instruments. There are two main types of woodwind instruments: flutes and reed instruments (otherwise called reed pipes). What differentiates these instruments from other wind instruments is the way in which they produce their sound.

5 Brass family A brass instrument is a musical instrument that produces sound by sympathetic vibration of air in a sympathy with the vibration of the player's lips. Brass instruments are also called labrosones, literally meaning "lip-vibrated instruments".
