1 3D Micromanufacturing Lab. [1] Drying Oven

2 [2] 3D Micromanufacturing Lab. What is a Drying Oven An oven is a thermally insulated chamber used for the heating or drying of a substance using hot air that flows inside the oven. When the pipette tips are autoclaved then water droplets are adhered on the tips. This water droplets could change the concentration of solutions which is handled by using pipette. In our lab, majorly we use this oven to dry the pipette tips after they have been autoclaved.

3 [3] 3D Micromanufacturing Lab. Settings Normally, this drying oven is set at 60°C for 3-4 hours to dry water droplets from pipette tips. Temperature and timer can be set by pressing ‘Mode’ and then changing the values using ‘left’ and ‘up’ keys.
