1. FY14 Budget Map - User Guide View Governor Patrick's proposed education and transportation investments for FY14 through this interactive online map. The map displays Chapter 70 education funding by school district, Chapter 90 transportation funding by town, Regional Transit funding by region as well as funding for roadways, bridges, intersections, bike/pedestrian projects and rail lines. The map will allow you to view current and proposed funding levels. Using the pick lists below, you can zoom to your town or your legislative district. Select the “I” tool, then click on the map to view funding amounts for projects and districts, including a grand total by legislative district. 2. Getting the information The view below is what you see when you use the “I” tool to select a project that you’re interested in. Just draw a little rectangle at some location (in this case, the user has selected a bridge project.) First you see a display of all the features that were found at the location you clicked. Then, by highlighting one row, you can get the detail on that category. You don’t need to select an actual project – by selecting a location anywhere, you’ll also get a listing of the town and the various districts at that location.

Turning layers on and off may make the map easier to understand, but is not required to use the map. The layer catalog shows you what’s available in this viewer. As you zoom in and out, you may see certain layers change – that’s to make the map easier to understand.
