2. Unit Summary This unit discusses e-mail use and some of the problems that people experience With e-mail. Reading one provides a guideline for e-mail users to follow when Writing e-mails. Reading Two describes the problems faced by three different People who didn’t follow the appropriate e-mail rules. The companion unit in North Star: Listening and speaking deals with mobile Phone use and the problems associated with using mobile phones in cars and Public places.

3. Vocabulary: Work with a partner. Read each group of sentences. Notice the underlined words. All have the same prefix. Guess the meaning of the prefix and write it on the line.
