4  When a fluent person of the 21 century is presented with a problem, they:  Know how to produce a solution.  Use the whole brain to think creatively.  Use the 4D problem-solving process to think clearly.  Think creatively to find solutions in real time. Jukes et al. (2010)

5  When a fluent person of the 21 st century needs information, they:  Use the appropriate digital device for assistance.  Examples of digital devices are computers and cell phones. A fluent person is also aware of appropriate search engines to meet their needs.  Critically evaluate the information they find.  Knowing that the internet is largely unregulated, a person needs to be careful when they are searching for facts. 6  When a fluent person of the 21 century works collaboratively, they work with virtual or online team members. The team develops, creates, and solves together. Jukes et al. (2010)
