3 Integrity training in Flanders In the beginning: integrity training for all employees (introduction, recognizing integrity issues, dilemma game and open discussion) Later on: train the trainer (trainers pool): trained in dilemma trainings, analysis framework integrity cases, integrity risk analysis

4 Integrity training in Flanders Today: –made to measure interactive workshops (on specific integrity issues or for specific target groups) –network sessions for key integrity actors (e.g. integrity contact persons, managers, HR specialists, trusted intermediaries…) Future: –project ‘career long integrity’ from recruitment to exit –training top managers: coaching, peer intervision –Giving & receiving constructive feedback

6 World café methode Work in small groups (8 people/group) One person is host/secretary (stays at same table) Brainstorm: gather all ideas Groups move to next table with other question, building on ideas of previous group Host of each table reports on the results

8 Tips from Flanders Framework & strategy for ethics (training): one of main elements in overall ethics/integrity programme (prevention) Support for ethics training (exemplary role management), willingness to improve Embed training in other domains/initiatives (multidisciplinary & integration) Made to measure for specific target groups (not one size fits all) Variety of training methods (organization culture), teach practical skills to deal with integrity issues Not only on voluntary basis (e.g. part of recruitment, promotion, greater responsibilities…) Limited means (budget & staff): train the trainer (trainers pool) Evaluation & monitoring results training
