8. Memoirs/Autobiography Long-standing graduation requirement of G.V. Use Journal Prompts to generate ideas (place to practice, Types 1 & 2 Collins) Type 1-brainstorming, no “answer,” most used Type 2-shows knowledge of something (practicing techniques), could be graded as quiz (not normally here) Memoirs are about topics the student chooses Free to write about what has shaped them as a person Any concerns will be reported Encourage communication across all areas—no one should feel afraid to express worries, concerns, or troubles
