5. FBI Internet Safety Tips The FBI came up with 5 ways to keep you safe on the Internet.

6. Never give out personal information such as your name, home address, school name, or telephone number on the Internet without your parent's permission. Safety Tip #1

7. Never write to someone who has made you feel uncomfortable or scared. Safety Tip #2

8. Do not meet someone or have them visit you without the permission of your parents. Safety Tip #3

9. Tell your parents right away if you read anything on the Internet that makes you feel uncomfortable. Safety Tip #4

10. Remember that people online may not be who they say they are. Safety Tip #5

12. Review Does everyone tell the truth on the Internet? What is personal or identifying information? What should you do if someone in cyberspace makes you feel uncomfortable? What is one way the FBI says you can stay safe on the Internet?

13. Project Open the Internet Safety folder in your class folder on the server. Select one of the Web sites. Answer the questions on your handout. If you finish early, create a poster in Word about one of the FBI tips.
