3 Commission on Teacher Credentialing Inspire, Educate, and Protect the Students of California CTC Online Roles and Responsibilities RoleResponsibility Who Provides Information to CTC Appointing Authority (AA)  Must identify one or more Authorized Designee(s) (AD) by submitting info to CTC  Must maintain the list of Authorized Designee(s) by adding or deleting as needed  May serve as an Authorized Designee (AD)  May serve as an Authorized Submitter (AS) Deans (for Approved Institutions) or Superintendents (for Authorized Agencies) on form CL-896 Authorized Designee (AD)  Must complete the CTC on-line training webinar to receive initial password and log in information. Must keep password secure.  Must identify and assign roles to the institution’s Authorized Submitter(s)  Must submit a list of Authorized Submitters (AS) and information to the CTC  Must submitting request to CTC to add or delete Authorized Submitter (AS) as necessary  Must complete authentication process every six months or whenever password is changed  May serve as an Authorized Submitter (AS)  May download and view information related to recommendations from their program or agency Appointing Authority submits CL-896 to CTC from work email Authorized Submitter (AS)  Must complete the CTC on-line training webinar to receive initial password and log in information. It is advisable to make pop-up windows to the CTC Online specific webpage an exception instead of turning them off.   Pop-up blocked messages may appear on the top or at the bottom of the window   Click the warning message and select “Always Allow Pop-ups from This Site.”   Some Agency or Institution’s do not authorize the users to make this change. Technical assistance will be required to add https://educator.ctc.ca.gov to the list of always allowed Pop-up sites. 13
