5 London is the capital of the UK. It is a beautiful city. London is a city of history, museums and monuments.

6 Look at the Houses of Parliament on the river Thames. They are very old. There was a royal palace there, and now it is the home of the British Parliament.

7 Look at Big Ben. It is a very big bell in the clock tower of the Houses of Parliament.

8 Look at Trafalgar Square. All tourists meet here. There is a beautiful monument to admiral Nelson in the centre.

9 Look at Westminster Abbey. It is a historical church. There was the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in Westminster Abbey.

10 Look at Madam Tussaud’s. It is a museum of wax figures. There we can learn about London’s history.

11 Look at the London Eye. People have fun on it. It is on the Thames opposite the Houses of Parliament.

12 Look at the palace of King Henry VIII. It is five hundred years old. Now it is a museum.
