10 Federal Aviation Administration 10 Central Florida Region May 19, 2012 Let’s talk about Text: How much text to use, –Style Size –Color

11 Federal Aviation Administration 11 Central Florida Region May 19, 2012 Title – Arial-Bold-Italic- (44pt) Information-Subtitles (36 pt) (Yellow) General Information Text (White) Highlighted Items (Yellow) Other information (24 pt) (Light Green) (Or White) Stay away from saturated reds and blues

12 Federal Aviation Administration 12 Central Florida Region May 19, 2012 Don’t be too wordy: 1.Bullets –Help to get The point across ! If the text is too small, and there is a lot of text, and a lot of information, it is entirely possible to lose the viewer’s attention. This is especially true when trying to copy and paste large amounts of information. Remember, often times, one picture is worth a thousand words! Other tips are to keep the text large and readable. A lot of venues are poorly or “Too Brightly” lit. If using red text, and colors similar to the background, it becomes difficult to read, even on the largest screens. Adding indents, spaces, and punctuation also help to get the point across. A.This (BOLD) color, and size 24,  “may” have worked better !
