2 All of a pride’s lionesses are related, and female cubs typically stay with the pride as they age. All female lions bond during the hottest time of the day, if a lioness isn’t bonding then she was not born in that pride, the other lioness will drive her out. Then the lioness will survive on her own.

3  Lions make a wide variety of sounds, from a kind of meow to a full roar. The majestic roar is one of the hallmarks of the lion. They roar more then any other big cat. Often the pride’s males will begin the roaring ‘song’. The roar is a series of the powerful bellows that are kind of like eeeeeeeyouuughhhhh.

6 Lions eat Antelope, zebra, buffalo, kob, impala, wildebeest, porcupines, warthogs, rabbits, and sometimes eat hyenas or hyena pups, elephants, rhinos, cheetahs, finally giraffes.

7 The lion finds its way in dense cover or on moonless nights. Moving in for the kill, it spreads its whiskers like a living circular net, which helps it select the best spot to clamp its great jaws on its victim.

15  Poachers kill lions illegally. They sell parts of the lion, such as teeth, claws, the tail, mane, eyes, they do these horrible things for money.
