5 The Desert Southwest: Main Ideas 1)The Pueblo People (pg. 53) a)How did the Puebloans live and what did they grow? - They lived in pueblos made of adobe bricks and they farmed maize, squash & beans - Division of labor was unique. Men governed villages, hunted & farmed, while women cooked, cared for children and OWNED all property. - They lived in the hot & dry desert in modern day Arizona, Colorado, Utah & New Mexico. - Performed religious ceremonies to several different gods.
