Casa Batlló built in the year 1877 and remodelled in the years 1905–1907 Casa Batlló, is a building restored by Antoni Gaudí and Josep Maria Jujol, TIPS Local Name: Casa del Ossos (House of Bones) Characteristic: 1) having a visceral, skeletal organic quality 2) ground floor with tracery, irregular oval windows and flowing sculpted stone work Much of the facade is decorated with a mosaic made of broken ceramic tiles that starts in shades of golden orange moving into greenish blues The roof is arched and was likened to the back of a dragon or dinosaur

The vibrant colours of the tiles are truly breathtaking The unique shape of the serpentine bench enables the people sitting on it to converse privately, although the square is large The bench is tiled and in order to dry up quickly after it rains, and to stop people from sitting in the wet part of the bench, small bumps were installed by Gaud Gaudi's Tiled Mosaics on the ceiling
