CA Strategic Plan Goal for Low Income Programs “A trained LIEE workforce will accommodate future job demand and educate their communities” PG&E ESA Program implementers receive training at PG&E’s Energy Training Center in Stockton –Energy Specialist Enrollment, Assessment, and Energy Education Forms, Database, Policies & Procedures Customer Contact Policy, Qualification, Scheduling –Weatherization Specialist Weatherization Installation Standards Forms, Database, Policies & Procedures Customer Qualifications Safety –Natural Gas Appliance Testing (NGAT) –Program Policies and Procedures Update Training

ESA Program Hires from the Communities Served Contractors hire from the local communities –Members of the community know the area and speak the local languages, making it easier to gain trust and recruit participants More contractor crews hired to implement the 2011 ESA Program due to increased program size –497 individuals trained to deliver the ESA Program to-date in 2011 –2,452 Student days to-date in the ESA Program PG&E participated in Energy Division’s pilot project (authorized in D.08-11-031) to develop a low income workforce education and training plan –Pilot recruited and trained residents of disadvantaged, low income communities to install energy efficiency measures in households as part of the ESA Program

4. Workforce Education & Training PG&E continues to work with contractors, educational institutions, and community partners to identify and implement new strategies to achieve the CA Strategic Plan’s Workforce Education and Training Goals –PG&E’s ETC Staff are active members of the Statewide WE&T Working Group –PG&E will consider recommendations from the LIEE WE&T Pilot Project and the CA WE&T Needs Assessment report
