2. What do we do?? Bring “real-life” STEM experience to students. Support School activities such as Science & Engineering Clubs. Help with STEM competitions, events & awards. 3. Why is this necessary?? Fewer students are choosing STEM subjects. Students find difficulty in relating STEM teaching to the real world of work. Private Sector Design/Manufacturing is a UK business development priority. STEM Industries have ageing workforce. STEMNET needs Industry support

4. Who are we?? Usually Professional STEM background. Volunteers & free to Schools. CRB checked Completed “Induction Course” Desirable Personal Characteristics – enthusiastic, committed, inspirational, good communication skills, interested in developing the STEM Business Sector, sufficiently confident in the Classroom.

5. Why do we do it?? Interest & satisfaction in STEM education. Sense of achievement. Fresh perspective on day-to-day activities. Career development. Contribute towards Chartered Status. Challenge stereotypes! Help make a difference! Have fun, whilst inspiring the next generation!

6. How do I become one?? REGISTRATION – User-friendly on-line Registration Form. Complete Disclosure Form for CRB check. After registering on STEMnetworking site, Activity & Feedback Records can be completed & accessed, providing a broad data-base of information useful to Ambassadors. Don’t worry – resources are infinite!!!!
