2 Opening Note Date: These are things I think I do well. 1. Math 2. Writing 3. Science I am most proud of getting straight A’s on both of my report cards so far. I really hope I get straight A’s again.

3 The one thing I need to continue to work on is making sure I put everything in my planner and make sure to get it signed. You can help me do this by doing nothing because I need to learn to bring it to you by myself. My goal before the end of the year is to get straight A’s again.

4 School Feelings  I feel the best about myself in class when I get good grades.  I have the most fun in this class when it is writing time.  I feel proud of myself in this class when I get good grades.  The best thing I contribute to this class is I ask a lot of questions so I can understand better and it helps people other.

6 Math Reflection  Things that I have learned 1. Algebra 2. Cross Multiplying 3. Line graphs  Things I have to work on 1. Algebra 2. Stem and leaf plots 3. PENDAS

7 Math Reflection continued  I feel good when I work in math class because Mr. Brownrigg helps me understand the stuff I don’t get.  Outside of school, I use math when I figure out the tip for waiters/waitresses at restaurants.

8 Reading Reflection  Things that I have learned 1. Graphic Aids 2. Predicting 3. Headings  Things that I have to work on 1. Rev up my mind 2. Think what headings mean 3. Find more books that I am interested.

9 Home Reading Reflection  The kind of books I like to read are fiction books with action. An example in the Hunger Games series.  I choose what I’m going to read by looking at the level and read the back cover of the books.  I can become a better reader by pushing myself to read a level U.

10 Reflection on Writing  I think my writing is improving because Mr. Arbaugh has been helping me with my dialogue format.  I am really proud of my story about getting frogged at camp.

11 Writer’s Workshop  I feel amazing when I work in writer’s workshop because it is the one time in the day I can do my work however I want to do it.  I use writing in my everyday life when I make a shopping list.

12 Social Studies Reflection  My favorite thing about Social Studies this year was the terminal illness projects.  I learned the following information 1. Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia 2.John Cabot was a navigator 3. John Cabot found what is now Canada.

13 Science Reflection  My favorite thing about Science this year was mixtures and solutions.  I learned the following information 1. A chemical reaction creates a gas 2. There are a lot of systems in a human body 3. If you let salt water evaporate, the there will be salt on the bottom of the container.
