2 Word Wall Slope- a number that describes both the direction and steepness of a line. Steeper line = faster speed Velocity- rate of motion in a specific direction Accelerating- speeding up or when an object changes speed or direction Decelerating-slowing down or stopping

3 Motion Graph Lines Straight lines- constant speed Horizontal line-no motion, 0 (zero) speed Curved line- changing slope, indicates linear acceleration or a change in speed

4 Motion Graph Lines Positive sloped- (upward) motion away from the reference point (starting point) Negative sloped- (downward) motion back towards the reference point (starting point)
