2 一.教材内容分析 本模块以 “ 不同的习惯 ” 为话题, 在生活中, 同学们要互相关 心, 留心他人的喜好, 并据此为其挑选生日礼物. 通过学习, 使 学生乐于接触其他国家的风俗习惯 — 其他国家的人们如何 赠送生日礼物。

5 Unit 1 Tony always likes birthday parties. 教 学 设 计 教学 内容 Tony always likes birthday parties. 教材 分析 This unit is focused on the ways of having birthday parties. 学情 分析 All of the students have the experience of having birthday parties. 教学 目标 To get to know the adverbs of frequency Understanding the conversation involving”Tony’s Birthday “ To be able to describe what people do on their birthday parties Pronounce the 3 rd person singular endings, /h/, /r/ 教学 重点 The usage of the adverbs of frequency Wang Dong usually has an English birthday party. Tony always likes parties.

6 设计思路 Ask students to investigate their classmates’ birthday on that day. Give them pre-task to prepare a birthday party for their classmate. Preview Activity 4 and find some useful phrases for the party.

What present do Betty, Lingling and Daming send him? 2.Teach them the adverbs of frequency in Activity 2. 3.Tell them the rules end with consonant and vowel sound. 1.Listen to the conversation and give two answers about the questions. Then check the true sentences in Activity 5. 2. Ask students to summarize the usage of the adverbs of frequency after listening and find the sentences with these words in Activity 4. 3.Practice these sounds in Activity 7 & 8.

Tony got a present “birthday party” from their friends. 教学目标 To get information from reading material about choosing birthday presents To write a description of one’s partner To get to know compound nouns 教学重点 1.Reading and writing skills. 2.Vocabulary 3.The usage of ’ (apostrophe)

12 设计 思路 1.Give students pre-tasks to draw some pictures with the words in Activity1. 2.Prepare five boxes for their presents. 3.Do listening in Activity 2 first, try to get the answers in Activity 3. Don’t care about their answers. Then, do reading again. Some students can get the answers, but some students can’t do that. So teachers should give them some hints or teach them skills of reading. Using these way, they can find some information about the answers.

Listen and try to get information from the material. Read and get the answers in Activity 3. Practice the usage in Activity 4.

Using this way, students must be easily involved in the teaching and learning. From the games, students can choose some presents for a person in his/her class or family.
