4 Child Development WHAT IS CHILD LABOUR ? Child labour is work performed by a child that is likely to interfere with his or her right to education, or to be harmful to the child’s health or physical, mental, spiritual, moral or social development.

5 Child Development It includes all forms of work done by children up to 15 years old that deprives them of their right to education

6 Child Development, as well as dangerous work done by children up to the age of 18 years. Child labour is illegal.

7 Child Development Facts & Figures: There are more than 215 million child labourers in the world 1 in 7 children between 5 and 17 years is a child labourer

31 Child Development Special education in layman’s terms is the education of students with special needs in a way that takes into consideration the child’s particular needs and understands their limitations.

32 Child Development Within the stream of education, the child is involved in individually planned teaching procedures and is monitored by a trained professional. There also maybe the use of adapted equipment and materials as well as comfortable settings to ensure the comfort of the child.
